Meet the Panel
Katherine Serrano Sosa
Katherine Serrano-Sosa is an architect and business owner who designs buildings that help people feel healthy, welcome, and inspired. She was born in El Salvador and raised in the U.S., and she enjoys teaching, speaking, and mentoring students who want to become architects. Katherine is passionate about using design to help communities and inspire the next generation.
Joseph Horowitz
Joseph Horowitz works in cybersecurity, helping companies keep their computers and information safe. He works with many types of organizations and teaches teams how to avoid online risks. Joseph enjoys solving problems and helping people understand how to stay safe using technology.
Camille Glotzbecker
Camille Glotzbecker is a healthcare leader at NYU Langone Health. She helps run hospital departments like Surgery and Anesthesiology and works with doctors and teams to make sure patients get safe, high-quality care. Camille enjoys leading teams, solving problems, and finding better ways to help people and the community.
Yadiel Corporan
Yadiel Corporan works in sports and helps create fun experiences for fans. He works with the Long Island Nets, helping with events, tickets, and community activities. Yadiel enjoys working in sports, connecting with people, and making game days exciting for everyone.
Dr. Erin Gonzalez
Dr. Erin Gonzalez is an emergency room doctor who helps people during serious and urgent medical situations. She works in a fast-paced hospital, teaming up with nurses and doctors to care for patients when they need help right away. Dr. Gonzalez enjoys helping people during some of the most important moments in their lives.
On January 13, 2026, Career Day Inc. proudly returned to West Hempstead Secondary School for another inspiring panel-style assembly, continuing a meaningful partnership that first began in 2019. More than 200 students gathered to hear from an incredible lineup of professionals representing a wide range of industries and career pathways.
The event was designed to expose students to real-world career journeys, leadership experiences, and the importance of pursuing their passions. Through engaging discussions, personal stories, and practical advice, students gained valuable insight into the many opportunities available to them after high school.
This year’s panel featured distinguished professionals from industries including Architecture, Cybersecurity, Hospitality and Tourism, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Medicine, Sports Marketing, and Education.
Students had the opportunity to hear firsthand how each speaker overcame challenges, built successful careers, and remained motivated throughout their professional journeys. The panel encouraged students to think critically about their futures while emphasizing the importance of education, networking, leadership, and resilience.
Career Day Inc. was honored to once again partner with West Hempstead Secondary School and continue creating impactful experiences that empower young people to dream bigger and explore diverse career opportunities. The energy in the room was inspiring, and we are grateful to all of the speakers who took the time to invest in the next generation of leaders.
