A Ticket to Success: It’s Not Just a Game — Career Day Inc. Returns to Valley Stream South High School

This Valentine’s Day, Career Day Inc. brought heart, inspiration, and opportunity to Valley Stream South High School for our fourth annual program, “A Ticket to Success: It’s Not Just a Game.” The event, sponsored by BSE Global, the Long Island Nets, and Jovia Financial Credit Union, celebrated the power of sports, community, and education in shaping future success.
The day featured a lineup of seven incredible professionals from BSE Global, each sharing their personal career stories and advice with students eager to explore the many pathways within the sports and entertainment industry.
Yadiel Corporan, Sports Management and Business Development, shared how passion and persistence helped him thrive with the Long Island Nets.
Winta Thompson, Certified Athletic Trainer, discussed her journey in sports healthcare and her commitment to helping athletes perform at their best.
Nyla Allen, Sports Business and Partnerships, inspired students with her story of leadership, teamwork, and breaking barriers in professional sports.
Melissa Francois, Sports Marketing Professional, gave insight into brand development, digital storytelling, and the power of creativity in sports marketing.
Molly Roy, Sports Training and Sailing Enthusiast, reminded students that focus and determination can help them navigate any challenge—on the field or in life.
Julia Curto, Sports Event Entertainment, highlighted her exciting work behind the scenes in game presentation and analytics, showing students the many layers of the sports industry.
Brendon Allen, Sports Community Engagement, spoke about building stronger communities through sports, emphasizing purpose and connection beyond the court.
The program inspired students to dream bigger, explore new interests, and recognize that success is built on passion, perseverance, and purpose.
