Career Day Inc. proudly hosted its first-ever program at Smithtown West High School, marking our exciting comeback to Suffolk County. The day was filled with inspiration, enthusiasm, and powerful moments of connection as students engaged with professionals from a wide range of industries.
The program brought together more than 300 students and seven outstanding speakers who shared their expertise, personal stories, and lessons learned on their paths to success. Each professional encouraged students to dream big, stay curious, and explore the endless opportunities that await them beyond the classroom.
Matthew Pomara, Technology Entrepreneurship, shared insights from his role as Co-Founder and Vice President at Ark Technology Companies. He inspired students to embrace innovation and think creatively about how technology can shape the future.
Jennifer Megale, Healthcare Physician Assistant, spoke about her journey in healthcare and the importance of compassion, teamwork, and lifelong learning in providing quality patient care.
Nicholas Troiani, Arts and Music, energized the audience with his story as a musician and producer, showing students that creativity and perseverance can turn a passion into a profession.
Richard Tavarez, Banking and Community Relations, discussed leadership, integrity, and community involvement—reminding students that true success is built through service and connection.
Timothy Shishko, Entrepreneurship, Business, and Trades, shared valuable lessons from more than two decades in business, encouraging students to take initiative and pursue hands-on career opportunities.
