Career Day Inc. Program
Inspired More than 1,800 students for a Third Year in Row
December 6, 2024 — Hicksville, NY
Career Day Inc. proudly returned to Hicksville High School for our fourth program at the High School, continuing a meaningful partnership dedicated to inspiring students and opening doors to future career possibilities. This year’s event brought together more than 1,900 students and over 80 professionals from diverse industries who volunteered their time to share their experiences and insights.
The day began with two exceptional keynote speakers who set an uplifting and motivational tone:
Dr. Maria Conzatti, Chief Administrative Officer at Nassau Community College, encouraged students to pursue education with purpose and resilience, reminding them that every challenge can lead to growth.
Renee Daniel Flagler, President of the National CARES Mentoring Movement, inspired the audience with her empowering message on leadership, community, and the power of mentorship to change lives.
Following the keynotes, students engaged in interactive breakout sessions, connecting directly with professionals representing a wide range of fields—from healthcare, law enforcement, and finance to entrepreneurship, technology, and the arts. Each session offered students the opportunity to ask questions, explore career interests, and envision the possibilities ahead.
The Hicksville community once again welcomed Career Day Inc. with open arms. The enthusiasm from administrators, teachers, and students was truly heartwarming and reaffirmed why Hicksville continues to be one of our most cherished partners.
We are deeply grateful to Hicksville Public Schools for their continued support and collaboration. Together, we are building a culture of career readiness, inspiration, and opportunity—one student at a time.
