CAREER DAY INC. BRING REAL-WORLD CAREER EXPLORATION TO EAST ROCKAWAY STUDENTS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL
March 6, 2026
Career Day Inc. proudly hosted an inspiring and interactive career exploration program for more than 500 students at East Rockaway High School, connecting them with over 40 professionals, business leaders, and industry experts representing a wide range of careers, industries, and professional backgrounds.
The program was generously sponsored by Global Industrial, a leading Port Washington-based company whose team members participated across multiple departments including information technology, marketing, design, finance, human resources, operations, legal services, supply chain management, and corporate leadership. In addition to Global Industrial professionals, students also had the opportunity to engage with professionals from various industries and career paths, giving them valuable exposure to the diverse opportunities available throughout Long Island’s workforce and beyond.
Through engaging discussions, interactive sessions, and real-world storytelling, students gained firsthand insight into the many career opportunities that can exist within one company while also learning about the education, training, and personal experiences that helped professionals achieve success in their respective fields.
The program featured two outstanding panel discussions tailored to different grade levels. For the 7th and 8th grade students, Career Day Inc. welcomed Isabella Ferguson, Staff Attorney, and Marianne McIntosh, Director and Human Resources Business Partner from Global Industrial, who shared valuable guidance on career growth, leadership, and professional development.
For students in grades 9 through 12, the program featured an executive leadership panel with Adina Storch, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Chris Longhito, Senior Vice President & Chief Supply Chain Officer, and Tex Clark, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer from Global Industrial. The panel provided students with powerful insight into leadership, business operations, career advancement, and the many pathways available within today’s evolving workforce.
Students engaged directly with professionals through meaningful conversations that encouraged them to explore their interests, ask important questions, and better understand how passion, education, perseverance, and opportunity can shape their future careers.
The collaboration between Career Day Inc., East Rockaway High School, and Global Industrial reflects the power of community partnerships in preparing students for long-term success. By bringing professionals directly into schools, Career Day Inc. continues to bridge the gap between education and the workforce while helping students build confidence, discover new possibilities, and connect classroom learning to real-world career opportunities.
